Day 55 of retirement

April 8, 2010

Hi All

Well day 55 of my retirement and we are actually starting to get a little time to ourselves down here at the beach house in Port Willunga, SA. Weather has been not to bad. Cool but not too cold for our daily beach walks. The odd sleep in is pretty good as well.

Were eating good, sleeping good and only have two sets of cloths. Round the house shorts and tee shirt and go to the shops shorts and tee shirt. MMMmmmmmm and those dread locks are coming along as well…. 😉

Had the Kloeden reunion last weekend on the Saturday. Probably be the first and last time we have my Mum, my brother and sisters and all their kids together. Was a great day.

Well the tickets are booked. Guy and I leave AUS on Tuesday 4th May for the wilds of the Philippines. The presidential elections will be on when we arrive. So we plan to stay in Manila for a week or two while we get bank account and some other stuff sorted.

Then we hit the road. We are going to make our way to the island of Palawan and see if we can find a bungalow there for our first stop. Will look at using this as a base to then explore further. That is pretty much the plan. Nice and flexible with no time tables. Kind of nice really.

We have a bit of a busy next few weeks. Got my sister and hubby, Guy’s son and daughter and my kids all visiting us over the next two weeks. And a barbie with the Adelaide gang. Then a week or so to recover before we head off on the next step in our adventure.

Take care you all and may your retirement come sooner rather than later….. 🙂

Have attached a few pics of our beach walk and sun set
