Hi All

Wednesday 28th August

Guy, Jordan and I off out to dinner tonight for Peking Duck in Chatswood to celebrate all our birthdays:

~ Jordan Monday 26th August
~ Joanna Thursday 29th August
~ Guy Sunday 1st September
~ Trevor Monday 9th September

Saturday 31st August:

Off to Doug’s 60th Birthday (Guy went to school with Natty, Doug’s wife). It was a great big party in a hall with some good old fashioned entertainment with the kids singing and dancing. Even a few adults were strutting their stuff on the stage.

A great night was had by all. Oohhh and the food was amazing. Lots of Filipino food.

Sunday 1st September:

Happy birthday to my beautiful wife Guy. We had a quiet breakfast together and then I was off to work for the day.

Guy had a nice loonngggggg leisurely lunch with the girls at Dee Why Beach and then finished off with dessert at the Dee Why RSL (Getting home at 6:00pm)……

Monday 2nd September:

Been a busy few days at work with spring now upon us. Everybody has been dusting off their boats, motorcycles and scooters and discovering that they have flat batteries.

Not so good for them but great for Battery World business.

Tuesday 3rd September:

Glorious spring day for my Saturday. After the cleaning and shopping it was off to the beach for a nice long leisurely walk and a Chai Latte reward at the end.

Friday 6th September:

Dee Why RSL for dinner with gift vouchers.

Sunday 8th September:

Today was the first day I ran the shop by myself. We are open from 10:00am to 3:00pm so a short day. Customers tend to trickle in most of the day with a bit of a rush from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm.

Got through the “rush hour” okay with everybody being served. The customers were very understanding when they could see I was there by myself so all good.

After work we picked up Jordan at 5:30pm (From his work) and made our way into Oxford Street in the city to meet up with Zali, Jo and Dave who had driven up from Canberra.

We had a fantastic dinner at Churras (The Brazilian Barbecue) to celebrate all our Birthdays. It was great to see them all again and the food was awesome. Highly recommended.

Monday 9th September:

Another Birthday swings by as I reach 58 years wiser. A quiet day at work with a nice quiet night dozing on the couch after Guy cooked up a delicious stir-fry for dinner.

Sunday 15th September:

Guy and I caught up with our good friend Gina for dinner at a very nice restaurant in Dee Why. I meet Gina many years ago at an adventure racing training weekend and we have since competed against each other.

We have also done a few rogaining events together.

She (like me) has slowed down somewhat but is still very active in mind and body.

Life is good.

Trevor & Guy.
