Saturday 12th July:
Guy off with Jo, Zali and Jenna (Jo’s bridesmaid) on a wedding dress hunt. They went to a local wedding place and had a look to see what is available along the lines of what Jo wants.
Sunday 13th July:
Guy and Jordan off once again with Jo, Zali and Jenna continuing on the wedding dress hunt. They finally found one that Jo loves with no alterations needed, so all good.
Monday 21st July:
We finally booked the Honolulu accommodation for our November trip. There are so many hotels to choose from, but we finally found one that suited our needs and budget…… We are there for some R&R on a 4-day stop over on the way home from Vegas (Jo and Dave’s wedding).
Tuesday 22nd July:
Guy took an early finish from work today and met me at Warringah mall (My Saturday) for a “cheap Tuesday movie”. We went to see the “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes”. Not a bad movie as I am a bit of an original Planet of the Apes series fan.
After the movie we went to Mosman for a great Thai dinner. Guy purchases these coupons online where you can get a three-course meal from select restaurants very cheaply.
We had three courses for two for a total of $39.00 and it included a bottle of wine. Bargain as the food was awesome.
Saturday 26th July:
RIP my Mum.
She died peacefully this morning at the tender age of 91 and now joins our Dad.
Together they had 4 children, 10 grand children and 4 great grand children.
Sadly missed but oohh so many great happy memories. She will always bring a smile to us all as we remember her.
Wednesday 30th July:
My Mum was cremated in Adelaide today with Craig, Rae, Sandy and Brian attending. Brian sang the same song he sang at my Dad’s cremation as Mum’s coffin entered the chamber. Mum would have liked that.
Lyn and I were absent but we will all be together in early September for the internment of Mum and Dad’s ashes at the cemetery wall.
An era in the Kloeden family ended today.
I spent the afternoon in downtown Sydney wandering round Darling Harbor and especially in the Japanese Gardens. A very peaceful and beautiful spot.
At 5:00pm I met Guy and we had a very nice dinner date at King Street Wharf. This was once again a coupon dinner for half the price of a normal meal there.
And the food was awesome as always.
Wednesday 6th August:
After dropping Guy off at work and doing some food shopping I decided to go for a drive into the Botanical Gardens across the bridge. It was a glorious day so once I found a park and paid the outrageous fee of $10.00 an hour for parking, I set off wandering.
As it is winter there weren’t many flowers out except the Tulips. They were in full bloom and I got to play with my 50mm Zeiss Touit f2.8 Macro lens. Got a couple of keepers of the Tulips and their magnificent colors inside the flowers.
Life is good.
